I became an SLP because…
In high school, I worked as a student aide for a medically fragile, multi-needs student. He had an AAC device that was not being utilized to its, or his, full capabilities. Even though I had not yet entered the field, or even thought about it at the time, I knew I wanted to help and advocate for other individuals like him!
What makes you excited about your work?
Growing relationships with families and students/clients, and having the honor of getting to witness progression in each person’s communication abilities and access to the world as a result makes me the most excited about my work.
In my free time I enjoy…
In my spare time, I love to perform in community theater productions and travel!
