"What are executive functions and how can you help support them at home?"

This workshop will provide an overview of these skills and basic strategies you can implement for increasing your child's independence in everyday tasks. Topics of this session are best suited for caregivers of middle school or high school aged children, but all are welcome.

Learn about communication development from birth to 5 years of age including basic strategies to help encourage and support communication growth.

Introduction to Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) including dispelling myths and a look at different options available. Bring a device to review specific questions and/or troubleshooting on your child’s system.

This workshop focuses on an overview of the Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Process from concern to ongoing services. Specific parent rights will be discussed including ways you can help advocate for your child in the school system.
