I became an SLP because…

I wanted to serve children in a helping profession. My entire family benefited from social workers and SLPs that fought for my brother’s access to services. My clients in graduate school—especially those I served in the criminal legal system—strengthened my passion for language disorders.

I love being part of the CHAT team because…

I want to meet my clients’ needs inside and outside of the therapy room. I love using my clinical knowledge to advocate for children who deserve services, but encounter systemic road blocks along the way. I use my listening and counseling skills to make my therapy room a safe space to learn.

In my free time I enjoy…

Spending quality time with my husband cooking, walking our neighborhood, and trying to keep our plants alive! I enjoy learning about eco-conscious consumption and composting in our community garden.
