I became an SLP because…
I was drawn to speech-language pathology because I love helping people feel heard, understood, and more confident in expressing themselves. My clinical experiences, especially with AAC and complex communication needs, showed me how meaningful it can be to help someone find the communication tools that work best for them.
What makes you excited about your work?
What excites me most is seeing communication make a meaningful difference in someone’s everyday life. Even small changes can have a big impact on someone’s ability to express themselves, connect with others, and participate more fully in their life, and I find that incredibly rewarding.
