What motivated you to become an SLP?

At 2½, I was mostly unintelligible and spent many years in speech therapy. That experience had a huge impact on who I am today and showed me just how life-changing speech-language therapy can be. I’ve always loved working with kids, and becoming an SLP felt like a natural way to combine my personal experience with my passion for helping children find their voice.

What made you want to work at CHAT?

I’ve always wanted to give back as an SLP, and I love The opportunity of being able to work with kids who might not otherwise get these services. I also know first hand how hard the system can be to navigate, so helping parents feel more confident and supported in advocating for their kids is really important to me.

What makes you excited about your work?

I’m excited watching the kids reach their goals, big or small, and then watching it transfer into increased confidence. The kids also bring so much joy to my work.

What do you like to do in your free time?

Reading, walks, and tennis
