Sara Tamborski joined CHAT as a clinical fellow in the fall of 2012. She spent several years providing services at schools, in our clinics, and CHAT’s summer programs. Early in her career Sara was given the opportunity to mentor new staff at CHAT as the organization began to grow. She loved the experience of getting to work with clinical staff and helping them develop their technical skills, in addition to helping clients with their speech and language skills. Sara is now our Director of Clinical Services and Programs and is the lead clinician of CHAT’s growing family of almost 20 therapists. In addition to this critical function, Sara supports CHAT’s marketing and social media, contributes to our strategic planning processes, manages our EMR system, and leads our professional development and planning initiatives.
Sara grew up in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. She received her MS in Communication Disorders and Science from Northwestern University and recently completed the Center for Creative Leadership’s Ladder to Leadership Program, thanks to a grant from Community Memorial Foundation.
Sara loves attending sporting and alumni events with her friends and family at her undergraduate alma mater, University of Illinois in Urbana-Champaign (Oskee Wow Wow!). She is also a huge foodie and loves spending time in the kitchen and exploring all the great cuisine Chicago has to offer. Sara currently lives in the North Center neighborhood of Chicago with her husband.
